Tour Itinerary

This place feels like a fairytale: waterfalls and alpine meadows, glaciers and sparkling peaks, mountain coolness, the soft light of the setting sun, and morning reflections of Chaukhi in the mirror-like lakes.

We follow a scenic trail, cross Chaukhi Pass, and arrive in the Abudelauri Valley, where three unique lakes — White, Green, and Blue — lie among pastures and jagged rocks. The colors of their waters are mesmerizing: no filter, no editing, no legend — just the real magic of the mountains.

We spend the night in tents by the lakes under a starry sky, surrounded by silence and breathtaking scenery. In the morning, we can swim, relax in the grass, take photos with the mountains, and return along the familiar trail — but with new eyes and fresh impressions.
Day 1
Juta — Chaukhi Pass — Abudelauri Lakes

Our expedition begins in Juta, a tiny village over 2,100 m above sea level, tucked away in the Kazbegi region.

In summer, the village is peaceful and fresh, filled with the scents of meadows and the sounds of the icy mountain river. Towering above the village is the formidable Chaukhi massif, its sharp peaks seeming to guard the valley. We’ll start our ascent along the green slopes, enjoying cascading waterfalls, blooming hillsides, and panoramic views of Kazbegi behind us.

The trail leads us to Chaukhi Pass (around 3,300 m) — a spot that feels like the gateway to another world. Beyond the pass, everything changes: the Abudelauri Valley opens up, full of light, vastness, and a unique sense of quiet.

We see three mountain lakes, each of them has a unique color:
🟢 Green Lake — nestled in the grass and framed by gentle slopes
🔵 Blue Lake — bright as the sky
White Lake — milky-icy in color, as if made from a melted snow cloud

The colors of these lakes change with the sun, clouds, and time of day — each moment makes them feel different. We walk along all three lakes, choose a cozy spot for our camp, enjoy dinner under the stars, and fall asleep to the sound of the mountain wind, with tents set up by the lakes.

Day 2
Abudelauri Colorful Lakes

Morning in the valley of the lakes is something special. The peaks of Chaukhi are reflected in the water, the air smells of herbs and stone, and the sun gently lights the slopes. We enjoy a leisurely breakfast, swim, or simply walk barefoot along the water’s edge and capture stunning photos.

You can also take a walk to the tongue of the Chaukhi Glacier, feel the breath of the mountains, and experience the power held in the ancient ice. If you wish, we can visit each of the three lakes, swim, or simply relax at camp — today is a light day, with activity up to each participant.

Afterward, we break camp and head toward Roshka.
